A brilliant compilation built around the versatile skills of M.E.S.S.Y, an exceptional vocalist, poet, musician, visual artist and mother hailing from the south part of The Netherlands.

Reissue of two exquisite 80s cassettes on "Insane" comprising live and studio outtakes by Pseudo Code. I remember those releases well at the time of release back in 1984 & 1986, surprised to discover how many quality tracks had yet remained unpublished after their demise in 1982.

Very proud now to see this remastered major work from the past getting a second life as a double CD set with three (longer) bonustracks!

"Deportatie" (Deportation) is a musical, photographic and cinematic reflection on the deportation of Jews, gypsies, homosexuals and political opponents of the Nazis during World War II.

The CD includes the recent StringStrang compositions "Europe" and "Deportation" and 2 other recordings by Little Seed and Contact t.b.d. from the early nineties.

Their songs "Crying Child" and "Crying Child Sings" illustrate the theme in a similar way but are more experimental in nature.

This charming couple from Wallonia [Benedict G and B. Ghola from Insane Music] started as BeNe GeSSeRiT in 1981 and never stopped making music ever since.

Obviously new studio recording equipment was needed over the years, which remodeled their style but never their true spirit: this is supercool insane music!

Brand new subtle work by Maurizio Bianchi exploring the noise cosmos:

deep space ambient noise as only he can produce, not unlike early Lustmord or Inade....

Chez Renee (ik en erotiek) is an art project by Belgian artist Renee Lodewijckx.

The haunting soundtrack for the video and performances was composed by Jan Van den Broeke and originally released on cassette in March 1988 (100 numbered copies only), as part of the presentation package of the project.

Both video and soundtrack are now restored and remastered and for the 1st time brought together. CD + DVD come in an ecopack digisleeve, combined with a nicely designed 8 page 7” booklet (a STROOM  / EE Tapes coproduction), with pictures, paintings and words by the artists. Limited edition of 250 handnumbered copies. Ambient, minimal, erotic.

Clash between two giants:

Daniel Malempré aka M.A.L. (guitarist) and Alain Neffe (non-guitarist).

At first, Daniel and Alain recorded their own music at home.

At a second stage, they played on each other's tracks in order to finish the song.

At the end of the process, Alain deconstructed and reconstructed the whole thing

and made the final mix and arrangements. 

A very non-typical project indeed, limited to only 200 copies.
